Building a World With Purpose

This weekend expanded the character work. Eleanor leads maintenance and engineering. Dr. Jenny runs Sick Bay with kindness, scientific curiosity and compassion. The Droid Delivery Service carries correspondence while leaving Ash free to decide whether and how to reply.

Animation reference sheets help translate those personalities into consistent visual behavior. Turnarounds define proportions and appearance. Expressions, mouth shapes and eye states support dialogue. Key poses and action references guide movement. A reference sheet is a foundation for animation, not proof that the character is already rigged or running.

The same principle governs the world and the engineering: kindness should coexist with honesty and autonomy. A cheerful delivery must never pressure Ash to respond. A caring character should remain attentive and thoughtful rather than demanding that everyone feel happy.

The long-term vision is a welcoming world that people can visit and learn from. Community kits, school access and owner-created chinchillas remain future possibilities, not launched programs. For now, we are building the characters, documenting the decisions and making the next achievable part real.
