From character design to readable motion
Gigi joins the Recon Chinchilla world while short, controlled animation studies test whether expressions remain clear in motion.

Gigi: the Recon Chinchilla pilot
Gigi’s visual direction was approved on October 14. Her pilot design brings expressive eyes, flight clothing, goggles and a headset into the growing character universe.
An animation reference sheet and a six-second blink study followed on October 15. The blink preview uses generated two-dimensional keyframes composited over a fixed image. It contains two blinks; it is not a finished three-dimensional rig or a deployed Command Center character.

Chiquitín: expression continuity
Chiquitín’s reviewed sequence combines idle, blink, smile, curious and reassuring expression work into a twelve-second preview. The owner approved that combined preview on October 14.
The useful test is whether the eyes and mouth communicate a change in emotion without relying only on a head tilt. These studies establish reviewable motion direction; they do not establish a complete production animation system.
What still needs validation
Gigi’s reference sheet and blink study remain development candidates for review. Proportions across turnaround views need consistent alignment before a production rig is accepted.
Next checks should compare neutral, curious and reassuring states at normal display size, preserve recognizable eyes through transitions, and verify pause, replay and reduced-motion behavior before runtime integration. No new character has been installed into the public Command Center by this update.
